AI Community of Practice (CoP)

The ASU AI Community of Practice (AICoP) connects faculty, staff, and researchers who are exploring the integration of generative AI into education. Through collaborative meetings, resource sharing, and interdisciplinary dialogue, the AICoP fosters a supportive environment for building AI literacy, exchanging ideas, and co-creating practices that are responsible, inclusive, and impactful.

Members of the community engage in conversations about instructional strategies, tool selection, ethical use, and emerging trends. Whether you are just beginning your AI journey or already experimenting with integration in your work, the AICoP provides a space to grow alongside colleagues across ASU.

AI at the Tempe Tech Hub

The Tech Hub hosts three dedicated spaces designed to support hands-on exploration of generative AI in education. These spaces provide opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to engage with emerging tools, receive guidance, and experiment in a collaborative, low-barrier environment.

  • AI Creative Learning Lab (formerly AI Corner): A drop-in space for guided exploration of AI tools like ChatGPT, Firefly, and Copilot.
  • Creative Classroom: A flexible learning space for workshops, demonstrations, and course-based experiences.
  • CreateAI Studio: A space for hands-on creation, prototyping, and experimentation with generative AI content and applications.

You can join the AI CoP by visiting the ASU Community of Practice page and signing up for the mailing list. Members are invited to attend monthly meetings, contribute to collaborative documents, and participate in events that explore AI in teaching, research, and operations. The CoP is open to all ASU faculty and staff, regardless of prior AI experience.

Yes. The AI workshops hosted through Eventbrite are designed to support all levels of experience, from curious newcomers to advanced practitioners.
