FAQs

The Tempe and Downtown studios are scheduled through ASU Classroom Scheduling. Upon scheduling a studio, the room will allow ISAAC door access with your ASU ID card during the reserved time.

  1. Start your Zoom meeting
    1. From your personal device or the large Wacom tablet, start or join your Zoom meeting.
    2. Sign in to the Wacom tablet using your ASURITE credentials.
  2. Join the meeting from the Neat tablet
    1. On the small Neat tablet, select “Join”.
    2. Enter your Zoom meeting ID number.
    3. The TVs will automatically turn on.

The room lights automatically turn on when you walk in, and off when you walk out.

For optimal lighting, turn off the ceiling lights on the wall switch. The free-standing lighting kits should be the only lights on.

First, set up the studio according to these FAQs. There are instructions on setting up the optimal lighting, controlling the camera, and more.

After setting up the studio:

  1. Select “share content” on the Neat tablet to see the sharing key.
  2. Input the sharing key on your personal device.
  3. Select "record" in the Zoom interface when you are ready.

To easily access your recording, join your own Zoom meeting from the Neat tablet and record to your cloud.

If you start a new meeting from the Sync Studio, the recording goes to the Zoom Room’s cloud. If that happens, message the #zoom-support Slack channel to retrieve the recording.

Use the remote control to enable/disable tracking, move the camera, and zoom in.

You can also move the camera and zoom in from the Neat tablet. The tracking can only be changed with the remote.

This occurs when you are logged in to the same Zoom meeting with two computers next to each other. If you notice the audio echoing, leave the meeting on the Wacom tablet and/or your personal device, then rejoin the meeting. When prompted to “join with computer audio”, close the prompt window twice.

We recommend using the digital touchscreen on the Wacom tablet. Create a whiteboard in your Zoom meeting, and use the Wacom pen to draw on the digital whiteboard.

The whiteboard is shared and recorded in your Zoom meeting, and you can create more whiteboard pages in the same meeting. To learn more about the Zoom whiteboard feature, read Zoom’s official help article
