Instructors who choose to copy over an entire Canvas course or specific items from one Canvas to another may also use the option “Adjust Events and Due Dates” to have due dates shift to the new semester date. However, users should also double check dates shifted to adjust for a new academic calendar, holidays nor weekends are not automatically accounted for.
**Do not use this option if the length of the course is different such as 16 weeks versus 8-week courses. Canvas may not adjust to this accurately.**
